Purpose of the Programme
The purpose of this programme is to equip learners with the competencies required to:
- Identify workplace hazards and unsafe conditions
- Conduct basic workplace health and safety inspections
- Report incidents and risks.
- Participate in health and safety committees and consultations
- Promote compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and workplace procedures
- Support the prevention of workplace injuries and occupational illnesses
